There is nothing in my life – nor, do I expect, of the general population of the US – that warrants “escaping,” so I generally don’t champion such activities. Some people need to. When I listen to Alela Diane, I can’t help it. By the time it gets through to Lady Divine, I am no longer in this city, in any city. But when I actually get to noticing, I’m still aware of my surroundings, so I am clearly not somewhere else. This usually happens at night, and the nature of the set sun facilitates this easier than the day, but the effect is certainly not exclusively evening.
Too bad there isn’t more Living Sisters on grooveshark.
