It’s a shame so few seem to be as in love and fun loving as their engagement photos make them out to be.
Or perhaps not.
Do we really want to see oppressed men burdened by constantly carrying their fiances on his back?
Do we really need a bunch of statues of couples smiling on benches with their noses together?
Is the beach really enjoyable if couples are constantly jumping in place, hand-in-hand?
Aren’t there better uses for walls than for a couple to stand in front of one, the man looking disinteretedly forward while she endlessly kisses his cheek?
Do our paths through the woods really need to be continuously obstructed by couples standing so close they are breathing each others breath, just staring at each other?
In fact, let’s relish in these photographed moments, thanking God these couples can produce only a cartoon of love and authentic joy, and only when a camera is present, leaving the rest of us free to enjoy life unencumbered by what is merely a momentary nuisance.
