I got out-reasoned today.
That is rare, at least as much because I choose my arguments than I’m a good reasoner.
However, instead of just getting out-reasoned on some issue, or thought, or idea, or opinion, or something, I got out-reasoned on not going to Medusa this Saturday night.
Yea, that Medusa.
Elgin’s premier (only?) club. Two levels of night-life splendor.
Since Kelsey, the aforementioned estranged employee who is no longer an employee, went to Prairie Rock a few times with my friends, I told her that I would go out with her and her friends sometime, Martini Room would be fine, or a bar. And we’re going to the Martini Room first, but I couldn’t get myself out of also going to Medusa. I knew half of my reasons wouldn’t work for her (and that I would be completely awkward/out of place had no effect on her) because how little of me she knows, but also because her arguments were so compelling I actually couldn’t counter them in a way that I even thought myself was anything more than a cop-out.
So unless my plans earlier on Saturday are going longer than I’m aware, it looks like I’ll be at Medusa.
This will probably make you think.
Among the more obvious, intended thoughts, I thought, at 1:12, there is a turtle. Is that common in whatever country that is? It is trying to get up a ledge, I wonder if it can’t get over the edge, and that’s all it takes to have a pet turtle and let him outside and not get away. Nope, unless at 2:50 that is a different turtle back under the tree.
