Unless I am improperly informed, hominids are meant to come out of Africa. By the nature of human life in Africa – living the majority of life out of doors – their skin is dark to provide more natural protection from the sun and probably other reasons of which I am unaware. Could one not logically argue then, that as humans evolved and civilizations began and people started moving indoors and to the north (Europe), skin became lighter as less protection from the sun was necessary, and consequently fairer skinned humans, by evolution, are intrinsically more adapt for indoor jobs – typically requiring higher intellect – and darker skinned humans are still appropriately developed for outdoor work – typically requiring less intellect than indoor jobs?
Apparantly, according to a story I heard on NPR, there is likely to be a crisis soon in emergency rooms in America because of a shortage of doctors, funding, and other political stuff. The wait is getting longer and under-staffed doctors cannot provide as comprehensive of service as a properly staffed ER. One of the reasons there is a shortage of doctors is some doctors decide not to work in an ER because of the high malpractice costs.
Doctors have no obligation, and you have no right for a doctor to help you. If a doctor is on call it is their job to do so, but they have to requirement to work that job any more than you are required to work your job.
So because doctors are not perfect and make mistakes, and people take that as a great excuse to sue and get a lot of money, doctors are simply chosing not to practice. Just as a plumber can chose to stop fixing pipes and a mechanical engineer can chose to stop figuring out tolerances of panel fit, a doctor can chose to stop working in an ER. Leaving you with all kinds of waiting and pain.
I am having difficulty reconciling my investments.
Is it wrong to invest?
It does not pre-occupy me, and I do not think about them besides when dad brings them up. But by putting away money for retirement mean I am not trusting in God to provide? Or am I being intelligent with the money he gave me to take care of myself to ensure that I am provided for? Surely, there are many peoples in this world who could benifit from the use of the money that I use for nothing else besides investments, and considering I may die at any moment and not ever use the money I have made then invested, should I not give it to them? Or enjoy it myself?
I rated this post EX. Where does that show up?
