In church on Sunday, the recently lit candle hanging from the ceiling had a slight sway, so I told God to give it a big ol’ swing, just for fun. He did not. I said how hard it must be to be so powerful and not cause mischief. So I pestered him a little more. It still did not swing. Later in the service during the communion hymm, father Alan was swinging the incense thing with great zeal, so much zeal that the vicar asked him to hold back a bit. It was only with great struggle I kept my laughter inside. A little later the vicar’s robe came untied so him and father Alan had to walk over to the side to re-tie it in private. Again, laughter nearly consumed me.
So now I understand why God does not cause too much mischief; I am way to giggly in church.
It seems as though the Dr. Miller class will not happen next year. Apparently he only teaches the conviviality class and does not think it will run next year, and he does not teach the authenticity class. On top of that, I have to take Production Methods that semester since I am missing it now. That is unfortunate.
‘I was born to laugh
I learned to laugh through my tears
I was born to love
I’m gonna learn to love without fear’
