On NPR today, we heard that there is 800 billion dollars in credit card
debt in the US. That means 800 billion dollars worth of the things
people own in this country they really don’t. We don’t really own the
image we have. If that’s what we put everything into, creating a look,
an image, for people to see us as and we don’t really own it, are we
My chiropractor today talked with me a little bit about chiropractry. I
was suprised how passionate he is about it. It’s his profession, I
suppose he should be, I just didn’t expect it. It seems he might also
be a Christian. In his little pamphlet thing it talked about the brain
being a life force from God capable of healing the body if given the
proper conditions. And if our spine isn’t correct our body can’t
fulfill its God given potential or something. And he told me other
stuff that I forgot because I finished writing the last sentence about
2 hours ago. Either way, I think you should look into going to the
chiropractor. At least just to make sure your back isn’t crazy bad.
Oh yea, he said that our body is built to last 120 years, and there is
a tribe somewhere in Russia with an average age close to that. He then
told me it’s also in the Bible that it says that.
He then said, Look at people in America. They retire at 65, start
taking multiple medications if they aren’t already on them, then 10-20
years later they go into a nursing home away from their family and
grandchildren who will benifit greatly from them, then die 0-10 years
later, if they’ve made it that long.
In the Courier News from today, there is a story on the 5th homocide of
2005 in Elgin. At the end of the front page story it says, “Turn to MURDER, A8.”
I thought that was a funny way to say it. Especially because in
Christianity we say, “Turn to Jesus” as a way of focusing one’s life on
loving the Lord.
