Terrorism in London. That’s such a shame. I hope Matt’s parents aren’t anywhere near that.
I like the words our president said, contrasting the nations involved in the G-8 conference who are attempting to stop poverty and AIDS in Africa in a civilized way, compared to those who did the bombing, killing innocent people to prove their point. It certainly isn’t as simple as that. We are obviously in a war with Iraq where innocent people are dying, and sometimes the only way people can get their voice heard is to take extreme measures. But in this case, the contrast is quite remarkable.
There is a horrible magazine called ‘MPH.’ (maximum performance + horsepower) I would highly suggest not wasting your time with it. But on the last page, they have a little spoof cover called ‘km/h’ – kilometers + mounties + hockey. The headlines the preview are pretty funny. ‘Bigger and Better! Now with nearly 12 full pages of the best of Canadian car culture’ ’50 WaysTo Drive More Politely’ ‘Block heaters: buyers guide’ ‘Beer Stories’ ‘Doin Donuts: Where to find the best roadside snacks in Canada’ ‘Win a toque!’ ‘What would Celine drive?’ So although the rest of the magazine is male arrogance, the last page is tastefully funny.
Naturally my car didn’t get an oil change today. The bolt is stuck so I can’t drain the oil. But if the bolt is stuck, where am I leaking oil from? This will probably be a problem.
I’m on the fourth floor of this building, and there is a fly just kickin’ it on the outside of my window. What are you doing there? There’s nothing for you up here? This guy is crazy.
