When two teams play, one of them has to lose. Unfortunately tonight it
was the Pistons. A tense, interesting game, but a few missed shots by
Billups and Hamilton and a huge huge 3 by Horry put the Pistons away by
The Pistons haven’t won at the Spurs since the 96-97 season, the Spurs
only lost 3 games at home all regular season, and only 1 in the
playoffs. But the Pistons play best with their backs against the wall.
Their both good teams, and it looked like the series would come down to
who could win on the road. Now the Pistons will have to win 2 to get
it. Chauncy had 34 in the game, I think that had a bit to do with why
they lost. That’s a high number, but no one else on the team was close.
I got my hair played with for the first time since I’ve been home though, so that’s neat.
The day to celebrate fathers was fun. We went shooting at the Detroit Sportsmans Club, which is nowhere near Detroit. I don’t have a lot in common with mum’s side of the family, but we all like shooting things. With shotguns. Blowing circular orange discs out of the air. I did better than I expected. 8 of 14 the first round because I only did singles and only had enough shells for 7 of 8 stations. The second round I did the full 8, including doubles. I’ve never shot doubles before in a real round before. That’s when a clay pigeon comes out of both the high and low house at the same time. On a few I only got one. But I did get my first real double. Logic would have it, that since the pigeons are going opposite directions, that at some point they have to cross paths. So why not shoot both with one shot. Literally 2 birds with one stone. So I did, but I only clipped one (unknowingly) so I shot the 2nd one like usual. So I got 3 hits in two shots. Unfortunately it is illegal to hit both in one shot, so I had to hit the second one like usual. I couldn’t have done that intentionally, that’s for sure.
