I might go to jail for this, but Jillian posted this in her lj, and I’m reposting it without permission. I’m not sure she’d find out, but I don’t think she’d be mad if she did. Anyway, Jillian Vrazo said this, not me, but I thought it was a great idea worth repeating, so I’ll just paste what she said in mine
“Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you woke up one morning, maybe a morning like this one, where the sky was a muddle of grey and blue and huge white clouds; and you called your favourite person on the phone and left them a message (because it would still be kind of early in the morning, but not too early) and greeted them with the words: Meet me in Paris today. We’ll have lunch.
Or anything other amazing place you can think of: The Alps, Italy, Greece, Spain, the Rhone River, Romania, Prague, London, or Ireland. Maybe you would meet them on a mountain or by the sea or in a quiet forest. But no matter where, you could be there by lunch the same day.
Those would be the first words they would hear that day and they’d look out their window and see the sun shining in the sky and decide that it was just the sort of day to meet their favourite person in Paris for lunch.
The decisiveness of those two people would be enough proof for all the forces of the world to conspire together for them to have such a meeting.
And that would be that.
No travel worries, no money, no time, no reality.
Can we really say no to reality?”
